I hope this is in the right spot ^^;

I listen to certain music when I write scenes for my stories, does anyone else do the same? What do you listen to? Smile

Yep, I sure do. I mostly listen to songs by Placebo, Skillet, Poets of the Fall, and a couple of other random artists.

Do you guys change up the music depending on what kind of stuff you're writing? Like listening to sad songs during a sad scene? I know that I can't write sad stuff if I'm listening to "Bananaphone" xD

Sort of. Sometimes if I'm trying to write a sad or solemn scene I put on something to reflect that. Usually though I just toss my music on shuffle so never know what to expect, which I suppose reflect the randomness and humour that pops into my story.

Sometimes you need to get the right mood while your writing so certain music does help.

Not really, i just pick out a song that helps to me to concentrate when i write, but if the song bothers me i choose another song, but i don't listen to (for example) to sad music if i'm writing a sad scene.

When I write, my mood ends up being reflected in my work. One time I was totally pissed off and I killed all of the characters off. Not one of my better moments.

I don't because I find that it distracts me from writing.

Well, for anyone who likes to listen to music while writing, my friend showed me this website called Pandora Radio. If you enter a song you like, the site will automatically find more music like it. Personally, I find it good when I'm looking to listen to similar-themed music Smile

I never listen to music when I'm writing. I do listen to music when I draw, though.
